UKUSOLWA KWEDOROBHO

Ekhulwini lokuthoma, umBuso wamaRoma ebewubuswa yikosi yinye wanaba wasuka e-Britain, e-France bewayokufika neGibhide. Iinarhezi bezithabela ukubumbana nokuphumelela okuyinto okungakhenge kheyibonwe emlandweni. Kodwana bekunenye inarha ekude ebeyihlale ibangela inarha yamaRoma itjharagano, ebizwa ngesifunda seJudiya esinganakuthula.

Enye incwadi nayihlathulula ubujamo bakade beRoma ithi: “Iimfunda ezinye ebezingaphasi kwelawulo lamaRoma zatshwaywa ziinkhulu ezinamandla njengezingathandekiko emahlangothini womabili njengeJudiya. Amezwi kaJesu la adidanisa iinhloko zabafundi bakhe. Kwathi ngemva kwamalanga amabili nabaqala ithempeli leJerusalema omunye wabo wathi: “Mfundisi, qala bona mahle kangangani amatje la nemakhiwo le!” Kuliqiniso amanye amatje wethempeli kubikwa ukuthi bewangaphezu kwamamitha ali-11 ubude, amanye abe mamitha ama-5 ububanzi, kuthi amanye abe mamitha ama-3 ukuphakama. Nakilokhu uJesu waphendula wathi: “Malungana nezinto enizibonakwezi, kuzokufika isikhathi lapho kungeze kwatjhiywa ilitje phezu kwelinye lingagirizelwa phasi.”​Markosi 13:1; Lukasi 21:6.

UJesu waragela phambili wathi kibo: “Nanibona iJerusalema libhodwe mabutho, yazini ukuthi ukutjhatjalaliswa kwalo sekutjhidele. AbaseJudiya ababalekele eentabeni, abaphakathi kwalo abakhambe, nabasemaphandleni abangangeni kilo.” (Lukasi 21:​20, 21) Kghani amezwi kaJesu la azaliseka?

UKUFADALALA KWEDOROBHO

Kwadlula iminyaka ematjhumi amathathu nantathu, iJudiya isolo ingaphasi kwegandelelo lamaRoma. Kodwana ngomnyaka ka-66 lokha umbusi wamaJuda uFlorus owabekwa maRoma, wabamba iimali zethempeli elicwengileko, kodwana lokho kwasilinga amaJuda begodu akhenge asakukghodlhelela lokho. Msinyana ngemva kwalokho, amabutho weJudiya atjhinga eJerusalema, abulala ibutho leRoma begodu afuna ukuzijamela angasabi ngaphasi kweRoma.

UMBUSO OTHUMBAKO

Isiqubuthu sathaba khulu nasibona umnotho omkhulu kangaka eendleleni zeRoma. Sathabela nokubona imikhumbi yabantu abathumbe epini baphethe nezinto abazithethe ngekani ethempelini leJerusalema.

Ngomnyaka ka-79, uTitus wathatha isikhundla sakayise uVespasian bona abe mbusi. Kodwana ngemva kweminyaka emibili eyalandelako, uTitus wahlongakala kungakalindeleki. Umfowabo uDomitian, waba yikosi begodu msinyana wakha umfanekiso obunjiweko enzela ukuhlonipha uTitus.

Umfanekiso obunjiweko kaTitus uhlonitjhwa makhulu wabantu abavakatjhela eRoma qobe mnyaka. Abanye bawuqala njengomsebenzi okarisako wezobukghwari, abanye bawuqala njengento yokuhlonipha umBuso weRoma, kuthi abanye ubakhumbuza ukuwa kweJerusalema nethempeli lakhona.
