Frequently Asked Questions—JW.ORG

Most modern browsers, such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, are supported on Android, iOS, Mac, and Windows. Also, most system browsers are supported on Android 5.1 and later.

In order to keep jw.org secure and reliable, we may not be able to continue supporting some older operating systems and browsers. For example, we no longer support Internet Explorer. Occasionally, we need to raise the minimum requirements to use the website. If you experience problems using the website, try updating your browser to the latest version and updating your device to the latest version of its operating system. If your built-in system browser is not supported, try installing and using a modern browser instead.

There are several ways to do this, including the following:

  • Download the JW Broadcasting app, which is available for Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV (4th generation), and Roku.

  • If you have a smart TV with a built-in web browser, you may be able to open jw.org and play videos. However, we are not able to support every available model of smart TV. Therefore, videos do not play on all models.

You can also use a computer or mobile device to watch videos on your TV. These options work both for streaming videos from jw.org and for playing videos downloaded on your device.

  • If you have an Apple computer or mobile device and an Apple TV device, you can use AirPlay to see the videos on your TV. Visit Apple’s online support section for more information.

  • If you have a Google Chromecast device, you can cast (send) video to your TV from a Chrome browser. Visit Google’s online support section for more information.

  • You may be able to connect your computer, tablet, or smartphone to your TV using an HDMI, DVI, VGA, or S-Video connection. Consult the manuals for your computer or mobile device and your TV to find the best option.
