Abantu abaninzi bathi umnqamlezo ufuzisela ubuKristu. Sekunjalo, asingabo bonke abakholelwa ukuba umele unxitywe okanye kuhonjiswe ngawo emakhaya, uxhonywe nasezicaweni.

Ngaba uYesu wafela emnqamlezweni?

Xa ayebulala uYesu, amaRoma amxhoma kumnqamlezo owenziwe ngemithi emibini.

UYesu ‘waxhonywa emthini.’ (IZenzo 5:30, iThe New Jerusalem Bible) Omabini amagama asetyenziswe ngababhali beBhayibhile xa bechaza isixhobo awafela kuso uYesu abonisa ukuba yayingeyomithi mibini, wawumnye. Ngokutsho kweCrucifixion in Antiquity, igama lesiGrike elithi stau·rosʹ, lithetha “ipali. Akusoze uyifumane eBhayibhileni indawo ebonisa ukuba amaKristu okuqala ayefuzisela unqulo ngomnqamlezo. YayingamaRoma awayephila ngelo xesha awayefuzisela oothixo bawo ngomnqamlezo. Malunga neminyaka eyi-300 emva kokufa kukaYesu, uMlawuli waseRoma uConstantine wenza umnqamlezo wangumfanekiso omela umkhosi wakhe. Emva koko umnqamlezo wadityaniswa necawa eyayizibiza ngokuba yeyamaKristu.

Ekubeni umnqamlezo wawusetyenziswa ngabahedeni xa benqula oothixo babo, ngaba nabafundi bakaYesu babesebenzisa wona xa benqula uThixo wabo oyinyaniso? Kwelinye icala, babesazi ukuba kwakudala uThixo wayengafuni kusetyenziswe “umfuziselo” xa enqulwa, ibe amaKristu ayefanele ‘asabe kunqulo-zithixo.’ (Duteronomi 4:15-19; 1 Korinte 10:14) “UThixo unguMoya,” akakho umntu onokumbona. Ngoko, amaKristu okuqala akazange asebenzise imifuziselo okanye izinto ezibonakalayo ukuze asondele kuThixo. Kunoko, ayenqula uThixo “ngomoya,” ekhokelwa ngumoya wakhe oyingcwele ongabonakaliyo, “nenyaniso,” ngokuvisisana nokuthanda kwakhe okukwiZibhalo.—Yohane 4:24.

AmaKristu afanele amhloniphe njani uYesu Kristu?

AmaKristu ayixabisa kakhulu into awayenzelwa nguYesu. Kaloku ngenxa yokufa kwakhe, ziyakwazi ukuxolelwa izono zawo, ayakwazi ukuthetha noThixo nokufumana ubomi obungunaphakade. (Yohane 3:16; Hebhere 10:19-22) Awafanele abonise ukuba ayamhlonipha ngokusebenzisa umfuziselo wakhe okanye ngokuvuma njee ukuba ayakholelwa kuye qha. Kakade ke, “ukholo, ukuba alunamisebenzi, lufile.” (Yakobi 2:17) AmaKristu afanele abe nokholo kuYesu. Njani?

IBhayibhile ithi: “Uthando analo uKristu luyasinyanzela, ngenxa yokuba siye sagqiba kwelokuba, umntu omnye wabafela bonke . . . abo baphilayo bangabi saziphilela, kodwa baphilele yena lowo wabafelayo waza wavuswa.” (2 Korinte 5:14, 15) AmaKristu aziva enyanzelekile ukuba alandele umzekelo kaKristu owasifelayo ngenxa yokuba esithanda kakhulu. Ngale ndlela, ahlonipha uYesu ngeyona ndlela ibaluleke kakhulu kunokusebenzisa imifuziselo nemifanekiso yonqulo.

“Kuko oku ukuthanda kukaBawo, ukuba wonk’ ubani ombonayo uNyana aze abonise ukholo kuye abe nobomi obungunaphakade.”Yohane 6:40.
